Founded in 2008 as Moggle, Inc., the company is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The recent name change to Virtual Piggy, Inc. more accurately reflects our overarching mission to deliver solutions to meet the exponential growth of the youth market transacting in the global online market. As a technology company that delivers online security platforms, Virtual Piggy, Inc. delivers solutions for the interaction of children under the age of 18 on the internet, with a focus on security and parental control. Our flagship product, Virtual Piggy, is a tool designed to provide a secure mechanism so children can initiate purchases online that are parent controlled and monitored. Such pre-approved transactions help merchants to reduce friction in the online purchasing process and also to comply with COPPA regulations in the US.
Management Team
Dr. Jo Webber, Chairman and CEO, Founder
Dr. Jo Webber is an experienced software company CEO. She served as the CEO of InnaPhase Inc., and led the company to become a world-leading supplier of scientific software and management solutions. She directed the acquisition of a division of a public company and led the sale of InnaPhase to Thermo Electron (NYSE:TMO) in 2004. She then became CEO of Energy Solutions International, a supplier of software for the management of oil and gas pipelines, and directed two strategic acquisitions and the successful sale of the company. She has a Ph.D. in Quantum Physics from the University of Nottingham Trent/Manchester University and serves on the boards of Maxwell Systems and Octagon Research Solutions. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Chartered Chemist.
Scott McPherson, CFO
Mr. McPherson was appointed CFO of Virtual Piggy, Inc., in 2010. As a CPA, he has over 25 years of experience in accounting, tax, litigation support and financial analysis. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and Law from Clarkson University and obtained his CPA license in Pennsylvania in 1986.
Pradeep Ittycheria, CTO & Co-Founder
Pradeep is an experienced technology executive with 14 years of experience managing product engineering teams across industries. Pradeep has had experience leading company acquisitions, managing company sale transactions and integrating engineering teams. He has successfully led new product development initiatives using global teams. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Product Development at Energy Solution International, a Houston-based developer of software products for the Oil and Gas industry. Prior to that, he was the Director of LIMS Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Catherine Williams, VP Sales and Marketing
Ms. Williams brings over 25 years of experience in a business environment with several Fortune 500 companies including Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Perkin Elmer, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. She was EVP of Sales and Marketing at a venture-backed firm focused on industrial robotics for diagnostic testing. She has a B.S. in Chemistry from Marywood University.
Tom Keefer, Global Strategic Sales
Mr. Keefer has over 30 years of global brand-building and licensing experience. He has held positions with Mattel, BBC Worldwide, L.A. Gear, K-Swiss and FIFA/2010 World Cup. At Mattel, he spearheaded global marketing strategic plans for a portfolio of over 30 toy brands including Barbie, Polly Pocket, Hot Wheels, Batman and Harry Potter. At BBC he was SVP, Global Licensing for brands including TeleTubbies.
Yann Perrin, Development Director
Yann brings over 16 years of experience in software development, many of them while working in regulated environments. In his prior positions, he has managed a variety of software teams across multiple geographic locations. Most recently, he was the Development Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific where he led a LIMS software product development team.
He holds a Master of Science Degree in Software Engineering from Aston University in Birmingham, England and both a Masters level and Bachelors level degree in Computer Science from ENSIIE (Advanced School of the Computer Sciences for Industry and Enterprise) in Evry, France.
